While there are many reason people love Elk Valley, we often find property here appeals to the person/family who would like space and freedom to do what they want yet would like to have someone else maintain the roads if/when they get washed out. Many of the roads in Apache County are not county-maintained and you must rely on yourself or your neighbors to maintain and repair the roads if they are washed out during the rain season. This also appeals to those who plan to drill a well in the future but don’t want the thousands of dollars of expense right now so they get excited knowing access to the community well is immediately available.
